I’m fixing to go live with the site as-is and will provide new credentials hopefully tomorrow once we have a new testing site live with the same setup.
Mine is not set to the shop page.
Our developer fixed it, seems it is indeed an issue with the plugin itself and this was his solution (attached) but needs to be fixed for future versions.
I honestly don’t remember it was several weeks ago, but I believe it wasn’t a problem of Geodirectory and something related to another plugin or settings I’d done incorrectly.

Ok, it looks like both of those worked for the most part. I was able to successfully add a “place” and added the widgets and that page displays fine now. However I still can’t seem to get the “Events” to work. When I go to http://flagspin.staging.wpengine.com/add-listing/?listing_type=gd_event which should take me to the add an event page, it just takes me back to the homepage. I can go to http://flagspin.staging.wpengine.com/add-listing/?listing_type=gd_place just fine, and add a place and it works, but not events. It doesn’t even show “Events” as an option from the Listing Dashboard widget where you can add or edit your listings, only places. I have the Events addon installed and even tried to add the Custom Post Types just in case but can’t seem to figure out why it won’t show up…

This didn’t work, I downloaded the program and was able to look through the language files however neither of the phrases I mentioned are listed in your language files…
Any word on this? I really really need this ability as well to be able to get people a free month promotions and things along those lines, but I don’t want them to be able to select the full year. Is there any way to also allow you to select which payment package the coupon applies to? That would be a necessity really I would think so you could run specials on specific packages…

Sorry but this is not resolved. Aside from the category search not working (which disabling theme my login did not work), the bigger problem is the sorting is all messed up. I have 1 featured listing, and when I select to search by featured, it doesn’t show up at the top. When I sort by date, it shows up at the top, but it’s nowhere close to the most recently published or edited listing. The sorting is all messed up…need this fixed ASAP as it completely makes featured listings worthless…
What’s even more weird, is that when I search by Date, the featured image is the first there, and the other listings are definitely not in order of the date we added them. Somethings off here, maybe the sorting fields are switched or mixed up from what they say? Like sort by date is actually sort by featured? Strange.
I moved all the pages to the root instead of under the directory page as requested.
I’m definitely still having issues with the sorting though, I have it set to sort by featured but it will not show the featured listing first no matter what I do. I can search for it and see that it’s featured, but it won’t show up at the top when I filter or by default which it’s supposed to do. This is the primary reason people will pay to feature their listing so I definitely need this to work as advertised.
