I am sure you understand why this problem makes wpgeo an UN-USABLE directory system.
Please stop telling me thats just the way it is, because this is not something a directory search engine should do.
November 20, 2014 at 3:48 pm in reply to: WPGEO does NOT work, does not assign listings to proper location catagory #22050technically they are different spellings, so i would expect different urls,
here when a NEW user signs up, and adds to EXISTING location, a new url with -1 is created, that does not get included in search. This defeats the point of having people sign up

If they are loaded in the gallery I can run the optimizer every week or so for any new images that were uploaded. Does not need to be optimized when the user uploads. Sound like that would be ok? Worth a try?
2. The amazon cdn costs .12$ per gigabit they transfer. For site’s with a lot of transferring going on can add up quickly, but might be worth it to some people. At first glance seemed a little complicated to set up. Will let you know how it goes if I use it in the future.
Cool, The GZIP decreased page size by 1/3 and improved load speed. Might be a good idea to recommend to everyone who does not use a low end server.
Looking at a couple more options to improve load speed.
1. Can image optimization programs help & work well with wp-gd? (like the ones found here: http://premium.wpmudev.org/blog/10-best-image-optimization-plugins-to-speed-up-your-wordpress-site/ )
2. Can i benefit from using a Content Delivery Network like amazon cloud front? (http://aws.amazon.com/cloudfront/ )
Is there a verdict on whether GZIP will help page load speed without breaking anything?
