Ok, clear: but it is not somehow (easily) possible to create a custom post based on the events, i assume…?
We got it solved. Thanks!
Perfect, works great! Thanks!
Hooray! Thanks a lot. My Partner was about to tear the hair out of his head…;-)
Any idea on the second issue as well? That’s both on staging acting strange.
Thanks in advance!
Simone,
some additional insights:
With buddypress a user logs in with his EMAIL and password.We’ve discovered that the flow works if the new user logins in THE FIRST TIME with his username, everything goes well. The second and further logins he can just enter his email. Just the first time it appears to be needed to enter a username.
This is really strange, don’t you agree?
I hope you have more deeper thoughts about an explanation.Thanks again!
Hi Simone,
as far as I know we didn’t. i just checked the functions in the wpincludes folder, as well as the functions in the wpgeothemeframework and they are identical both on staging as live…

your css-solution works quite well, except for one thing that i don’t figure out: “how to get rid of the comma”.
This is what we use so far…
span[itemprop=”addressRegion”],
span[itemprop=”addressCountry”]{
display:none;
}As you can see the region and country have disappeared, but the comma keeps visible…
Thanks in advance!

Next to your great solution it is also important for us get more content on our platform: for SEO, but also because we think that is good in general.
Therefore we want to stimulate place-owners to use buddypress-elements: make friends, share info etc.
To make a start with it and get those profiles filled with basic content we’ve asked every-placeowner during the registration-process (after filling in their Facebook-details) whether they allow us to automatic publish their existing facebook-posts. One hundred people have opted in for this (they said: yes).I understand your clear and understandable position and I would answer the same if I was in your position. But as you are very experienced with developing wordpress, and you did a fine integration with buddypress, you might have some idea about what would be a nice solution/plugin if we want to achieve this. Buddystream apparently doesn’t work. Maybe someone of you has a recommendation on something else.
Clear enough?
Thanks again!
