Yes, that update did the trick! It’s working beautifully with WP All Import Pro and adding the locations as the import of places proceeds.

One more quick question. When I’m updating records, I have the option of updating based on Title or Custom field.

I’d like to update some records based on the Geo Directory post type’s Telephone number field, but I couldn’t see that in the export.

What do I add to the two text areas in the match by custom fields to match by the business’ phone number?

    Thank You Stiofan,

I am really happy that the team responded by making updates to the plugin to address both automatically adding the locations and working with WP All Import Pro.

I installed the first update and it does recognize All Import Pro and the Locations are importing, but the plugin runs into an error very quickly.

    Hi Everyone,

I’ve been using the WP All Import Add On Beta for a couple of weeks.

I was able to successfully import over 182,000 listings with geo coordinates. The import didn’t go all at once, but WP All Import makes it easy for me to start or resume where I left off with an interrupted import.

I thought I’d provide some feedback here.

    1. The add on won’t recognize WP All Import Pro, so I used WP All Import Free, since it was a new site. It would be great if it could recognize All Import Pro, since I have another project using All Import Pro with a lot of templates saved for importing products from various platforms into Woocommerce (where I also have a geo directory).

    2. When importing all of those listings, the locations did not set or show in the locations Settings > Locations > Cities – But after making a claim and resaving the place then the location does show up. The places did show up and save and are searchable, just not the locations.

Hey, Thanks Alex! That issue has haunted me pretty much since day one about a year ago.

I turned back on the BuddyPress Integration and checked it and the link looks just like it did, but now the form populated with the listing information.

    Thanks again Alex.

Nope. Sure can’t. It’s a very complex site with several YITH plugins for multi vendor, several plugins for Affiliate WP, BuddyPress and GeoDirectory. Of course, there has to be several Woocommerce and tax related plugins, security plugins, and so on. In all, there are around 130 plugins and they are all pretty much essential.

I’ve deactivated GeoDirectory BuddyPress Integration, as it isn’t essential, but now you are aware that there is an issue with it and with something on the site (you have access to see all of the plugins to see if you can try to find a problem).

    Thanks though.

Just to be sure, and since I don’t think I was using them at the moment, I deleted both plugins for buddypress shortcodes.

I was using a widget to add the primary navigation to the right sidebar, but removed that to allow the tabs to show. I used to also integrate Woocommerce into BuddyPress, so the horizontal nav was quite large.

In any case, I’ve removed the widget primary navigation and allowed tabs in Nuveau, but the link is still the same.

Hi Guys, I’m using Kleo Theme because of it’s integration with Buddypress.

Thanks for the tip Stiofan, I’ve turned debug back on and deleted the old debug files.

The plugins deactivated this afternoon about 3:15 and I caught it pretty quickly. Next time it happens it should be in a fresh new log file. I’ll share the results when I get them.

Cleared cache to get rid of the recaptcha glitch.

Still need to track down why the plugins deactivate, because setting this up every morning is what causes little problems to show like the recaptcha (I activated all of the GD and Affiliate plugins, forgetting that I didn’t want to use Ninja Forms integration or Recaptcha).

Here’s a new one: I enabled and configured Recaptcha in Affiliate WP, but when submitting it showed an error in the re-captcha entry and forced the user to re-enter the recaptcha code even though the registration was actually successful.

I turned off recaptcha in Affiliate WP, but the form is still showing the Recaptcha heading (no recaptcha form, so of course no one can sign up).

Yeah, it is difficult to track down. I wonder if there is a trace log somewhere on the server that would give us a clue.

The Ninja form login form I created for Affiliate WP didn’t work correctly, so I just went in and deactivated and deleted that plugin so that I wouldn’t accidentally activate it again. Deactivating that one plugin deactivated all of the plugins in the list again, so I had to go back in and manually re-activate them all again.

    Hello again,

It turns out that I’m still having problems with plugins deactivating themselves.

I have the full GeoDirectory package installed and the full AffiliateWP package.

The issue may have started when I installed the recommended WP Easy Updates plugin, and that correlates to other posts I’ve seen online about plugins deactivating themselves.

All of the plugins were active and working last night when I went to bed.

This morning all of the GeoDirectory plugins, the AffiliateWP plugins, Akismet, Easy Updates, WPMUDev’s Analytics+, Invoicing, Invoicing AffiliateWP Integration and Slide-In were all deactivated and I saw that there are 5 new updates available for unrelated plugins.

To replicate the problem, I believe all that we’d have to do is go in and re-activate the WP Easy Updates plugin (or any other plugin), and that usually deactivates the list above. The plugins appear to deactivate whenever the site checks for updates.

Any ideas on how we can make sure the plugins stay activated?

    Thanks Guust,

Thank you for pointing that out to me. I was using the key from Geodirectory instead of the correct key from WP Invoicing.

    It’s activated now. Thanks again!

I’m pretty sure that it was just my use of the Home Map Widget on other places.

When someone visited the page I’d created using that widget (it works fine on the directory’s home page) then the system would choke on all of the location pins.

It seems to be all good now. Thanks 🙂

I uninstalled and reconfigured. Realized that whenever I used the GDHome Map on any widget other than home top, the plugins would crash, so I removed the home map widget from places other than the gd map home top widget.

Seems stable now. Continuing with importing places.
