I have mentioned this a few minutes ago: Perhaps it’s useful to let people suggest features, no matter if they have votes left or not. Because often you have got a great idea but you can’t post because of no votes left.
September 16, 2014 at 3:55 pm in reply to: Suggestion: follow/nofollow/javascript in places/CPTs for website #15570The problem with the voting system is this: people often read only the highest voted suggestions but not the suggestions on the 2nd or 3rd page and so these suggestions get no votes (no matter if they are useful or not).
Sollution: if a suggestion gets 50 votes: hide it and don’t display anymore or better: show it but kill the voting for it, to give other suggestion a chance to be votedSeptember 16, 2014 at 3:50 pm in reply to: Suggestion: follow/nofollow/javascript in places/CPTs for website #15569That would be great. Thanks. Perhaps it’s useful to let people suggest features, no matter if they have votes left or not. Because often you have got a great idea but you can’t post because of no votes left.
But this is not the point: I have several zip codes for one city and I would like to know how a user of my website can search for it in a search field or something else. And how to insert the listings correct to allow multiple zip codes for one city.
But thanks for your help…I have tested it: you can – instead of the exact street address – insert the city twice: in the column post_address and in the post_city, too and it works (showing you no exact street in the map but the city).

Wouldn’t it be better the other way ? Not published immediatelly ? In case I made a mistake ? And because if they where published immediatelly, a ping will be sent out to searchengines and they could (perhaps) find the wrong content.
+1 🙂
Great! Many thanks for this explanation. I didn’t think it is so easy with geodirectory…
Thaks for your help…
How can this be done ? What is the only CPT I need ? Sorry but I’m confused. What can I do with the custom filed ? Is it searchable ?
Can you please give me an example ? That would be great – thanks. So I first have to create neighbourhoods manually and after that I can add them ? Is this right ?
I want to give my users the ability to filter for these things:
Where ? (city) What ? (which kind of art) and which ? (occasion)Does the advanced filter allow me to do this ? If so: what can I filter ? only CPTs or CPTs and categories ? Or does it allow me to have 3 dropdown menues to filter for:
[CPT] [Category] [SubCategory]Any help ?
