I have added %%category%% to the search page title and it does not show when searching with a category. Img attached of title meta. I also activated the widget titles to show the meta also and when adding %%category%% to the widget title, it gets changed to %tegory%% automatically. What?

Example search with a blank space in the title for category:

    Hello,

I am not at all sure what is happening there wih that widget. Entering the string and pressing save results in it being cutoff. I cannot account for it, but wil say it is probably a WP related issue.

I am also not sure that the replacement tags are supposed to work that way. I will flag it for the team to take a look when they get back into the office.

I don’t think search is set to use category tag as there is no actual WP category set, its just a url parameter not a category page.

To clarify, even though WP is doing “something weird” with the %%category%% string (cutting off the first part of it) even if it was fully complete, the %%category%% tag is not active on the search page and so shouldn’t be included.

    Hope that helps
