1 being added to slug categories

    hi. my categories for my places and events are adding 1 to the slug. there are no duplicate categories. i know this can happen for a post and by emptying the trash you can get rid of the duplicate. but there is no empty trash option for places or event categories. how can i get rid of the 1 being added?

    Hi,

    that will happen when you have any taxonomy in your database with the same slug.

    So it could be a post tag or category, or the taxonomy of another custom post type for example.
