404s on 'www.mywebsite.com/CPT/country/city/category ' pages

    Hello,

    I have just started adding listings onto my site and have noticed that I am getting a lot of 404s when I run a broken link checker.

    The broken links occur on all pages for this link structure:

    http://www.mywebsite.com/CPT/country/city/category

    However, if I add the region into the url, the page loads:

    http://www.mywebsite.com/CPT/country/region/city/category

    In my permalinks settings, I chose the ‘Add country and city slug in listing urls (/country/city/)’ structure but I don’t think it is to do with that as that just relates to the URLS for the actual listings.

    The pages that are getting the 404s are going to be quite important for our organic traffic when people are searching for our CPT and category in a particular city. I saw someone else was having a problem with 404s on their category pages and it turned out to be a bug?

    Any help you can give me would be much appreciated. I will send access to my staging site in a private message.

    The correct URL must have the region. The settings to remove the region that you enabled is for listing detail page only. Not for archives.

    I don’t know where the broken link checker is finding those links because they are nowhere to be found.

    Does it tell you?

    please provide credentials for the second website. There must be an error because that page isn’t showing the listings for waterlooville, but for UK (country).
