My Geodirectory site (http://www.kimberley.co.za) “freeze” up several times a day and then give a 503 error. It’s like wordpress is locking up. Accessing html & images on the domain with their url still works fine. Other sites on the server also works fine.
If I restart apache the site becomes responsive again.

    This is on a dedicated server with an Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E31230 @ 3.20GHz with 16gb ram.
I do run other sites on the server as well and are not experiencing this problem on any of the others.

    Hi,

do you have access to an error log? If you provide FTP/cpanel credentials we will have a look.

    Thanks

I would have thought it was something to do with cloudflare or google pagespeed service running on the server. I have never seen this before on any customers server. If your hosting company can’t figure it out i’m not sure what to suggest but it CAN’T be GD related when static files are failing to load, this is something server related.

    Thanks,

    Stiofan

Hopefully the new server will resolve things.

For php version i would use PHP 7 unless u have a reason not too.
Most required php extensions are installed by default, you will see errors if anything is missing.

    Thanks,

    Stiofan
