    Hey,

Firstly, I love this plugin – super powerful but I’m pretty certain there’s plenty of features I just ‘don’t get’ yet and I’m not making the most of it. Your documentation/video tutorials could really do with a bit more depth but I’m sure it will come with time.

With all that being said, some of these may be obvious but I just can’t the answers from here or on Google.

    1. On my setup I have ‘venues’ and ‘retailers’, both have their own sub categories (like indoors and outdoors) but I want the primary categories to both be on the same map. All I seem to be able to do at the moment is have the option to switch categories along the bottom.

If I have to put them under one category I will, but they have their own respective ‘fields’ where one has opening hours, the other doesn’t – so that would need to be different.

    2. On the mobile I have the ‘enable/disable zoom’ function on the map, but the filter categories covers this up. Is there a way to hide or disable the filter? Also the ‘Title’ in filter categories seems pointless, can this be disabled?

With my map I’d happily hide the entire filter/bottom line as I have the categories in my widgets

    3. How easy is it to add additional ‘pages/tabs’ on each of my posts?

Say I want to add ‘prices’ tab, or a ‘terms and conditions’ tab. Even if it’s just a WYSIWYG box for the Business Owner’s to add more information in.

    4.

The ‘Events’ plugin is awesome but it would be really great if event organisers could add payment options, so that they could sell tickets through this system. Is this something you’d likely implement? I’ve gone back to a different plugin for events but it doesn’t have the good looking map/details like GeoDirectory offers.

note: I’d rather have the option of adding the Business/Event owner’s payment details than it all going to me and then I’d have to forward it on. But if any of these would it would be fantastic.

    5. Finally (for now), on my admin dashboard I can’t seem to ‘untick’ certain areas which I may have ticked. Is this a bug on your end or mine? I’ve tried from multiple machines with different browsers. Screenshot is here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/nuebubbz10kgz2n/Screenshot%202016-10-19%2006.45.21.png?dl=1

As it shows, I’ve selected ‘Location’ and ‘Event’, but what happens if I wanted to remove one of these?

Keep up the great work, don’t forget to update that documentation though 🙂

    Many Thanks,
    Graham

    Hi Graham

    1. You can only have one Custom Post Type (CPT) on the map at the same time. SO you can change Venues and Retailers to categories of the one CPT and then use sub-categories.
    See also https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/places-categories-and-listings/

    2. Please review https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/common-styling-examples/#legend

    3. I guess you want to add an extra tab to the detail page of a listing. Please see https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/core-place-settings/#custom
Read up about “Details page own tab” and HTML fields https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/core-place-settings/#html

    4. You can enable an HTML field where they can add price information together with links etc to where your visitors can buy their tickets. There is no other option built into GD.

    5. You have a conflict with some other plugin most likely.
    Please review https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/known-issues/
If you cannot fix it, post your URL and admin details in a private reply and we will have a look for you.
