Account activation link doesn't work

Hello,
quite often – not always – customers have the problem that when they register, the link they receive per email to activate their account does not work.
When they click on the link they see come to the registration page with the message “Something went wrong”.

Could you help? Quick? 😉

Oh, and until yesterday in the backend at the users overview I was able to click on a link “resend activation link”. This link is not there anymore, so I cannot re-send another activation link.

Is there a way for me to activate an account from the backend?

How should I deal with clients whoes activation link does not work?

GeoDirectory doesn’t send activation links. Are you using BuddyPress?
