Activating DIVI Theme presents 502 Bad Gateway Error?

    Hi,

    As an Elegant Themes DIV fan I would like to see how GD looks on the DIVI theme framework… problem is when I install and activate it I get a 502 error and have to delete the theme via FTP to get back into admin???

    I know there is some sort of built in compatibility with DIVI, but hey whats going wrong here?

    1. Deactivate GD
    2. Select your theme
    3. Activate GD
    4. Go to GD > Theme compatibility and DIVI should be selected automatically.

    Hello,

    I just tried to activate DIVI when GD was not active and it still gives me a 502 error, this would seem to be unrelated to GD.

    You should try installing a fresh copy of DIVI and if that does not help you should check the server error log to see what is going wrong.

    Hi Stiofan,

    Thanks for the update. I have already tried fresh copy of DIVI…

    As this is a new site, not currently live I could wipe all files and the database and try installing everything from a fresh… bit of a headache but I would like to get this all working correctly.

    Check the error log, it should tell you what is going on.

    Hi,

    OK so it turns out our hosts are on php 5.3.9 and DIVI needs 5.6 !

    So asked for a migration / upgrade… I guess that should do it. Doh.
