Add a new place page – Category options snot showing

    I have an issue on the “add a new place” page.

    I have set up 4 categories for my listings.

    However, The category selection box does not display on the front end or back end “add a new place” page.

    The only way I can assign a category is to use the quick edit menu.

    the Screen Options dropdown for the “add a new place” page do not have a check box for category. see screenshot.

    Hi Timothy,

    Categories are added here as shown in this screenshot http://prntscr.com/g6sxlv . Also, you can upload custom map markers for your directory. And here is how the categories are added to the listings http://prntscr.com/g6t0b0 .

    Hi Kor,
    thanks for the reply.

    I have successfully created 4 categories and have assigned map markers with no problem.

    The issue is that the select category options do not show up on my Add A New Place page.

    See the updated screenshot. any idea what would cause this?

    Ah, I figured it out. I had the category setting set to inactive in the taxonomy settings. I’m all set now. thanks!
