    Hi,
I have updated the locations manager to 1.09 and am having problem with setting the location on the map.

This problem happens in adding a new listing and also now in adding a new event.

I have raised the issue in the forum under “Location Manager please test and report” but I have not yet had any update so I tried events instead with same problem front and back.

    1. If the address is not found the address box freezes and you cant correct it. The address box then displays “cannot find address at this location” and freezes. It cant find The Gleneagles Hotel?
    2. The category drop down shows only Events when I have a category Golf added. If I select events a drop down appears asking to set events as default. You cant clear this box and move on to next field
    3. If you ignore the box above and carry on entering the event details and select or enter a city and region, the postcode box is now inactive!
    4. If I go back to category and cancel it and start again, same drop down appears but when I select events an second drop down appears and if I select Golf (which I have added to events) it then says no such category exists.
    5. At this stage the postcode box may become active and are able to enter a postcode, but then when you click on set address on map it selects the wrong location and the postcode disappears and the box is inactive again.
    6. The error message pops up “please select a place in the default country(Scotland) only”

In the absence of any useful documentation on either subject. adding events and adding listings, as all the docs seem to be unfinished or basic, this is getting a bit frustrating to say the least. We have nearly 600 bulk listings to add but I cant see us ever getting to live with this plugin with all these bugs and problems.
If I cant add a listing or an event then our non savvy customers will never be able to self manage a listing, which is the main objective of taking our websites to the next level as at present we have to manually add all new business.
I also uploaded the new modern child theme for GDF and it threw out all of my CSS. As there was a lack of info on benefits and features of using the theme we are left with “suck it and see”. Whilst I appreciate that new CSS classes and IDs may need to be be added for the new theme, why could the old classes and IDs be maintained where they do the same job as the older child theme. That way our custom CSS could have been added to the new css file?
I have been patient for nearly a year with GT and now GD and the time to look at another plugin is getting close.
Sorry to rant on but I just can’t see us ever getting to a production website such as embracescotland.co.uk and lovetoescape.com both of which are managed in Scotland, with this plugin.
