For adding Place Listing images, when we are working from the BE or admin FE, is there a way to add from server instead of uploading a duplicate set of images when a place company has multiple locations or we want to do a pre-upload sample for those we want to sample a bump in package level?

Hello, you can use CSV and add the path of the images (or you can edit the table in phpmyadmin, table id wp_geodir_gd_place_detail, and the table is featured_image). All the images need to go in the wp-content/uploads folder and then based on when you upload them, for example now (may 2015) they will go in the folder wp-content/uploads/2015/05/filename.jpg. the path in the CSV and in phpmyadmin would simple be /2015/05/filename.jpg
    hope it makes sense 🙂

Makes sense but not sure CSV is the way, the truth and the simple minded guy way. When adding images from almost any other part of WP, we get the option to upload or find in Media. That is the most convenient for those not wanting to csv (which is not easy even for smart people).

    Hi,

the GD uploader doesn’t use the default WordPress file uploader.

We use the Plupload library that allows users to reorder images via drag and drop.

If you want to use the same image for more than 1 listing, the only way is via CSV file.

    Thanks
