    Hi friends,

I’m a bit confused about the steps people have to take to register, add a company, and pay for it. In which order is this happening?

If I send people here: site.com/?listing_type=gd_supplier they land into a dead end “please login” page (with no links to login).

Shouldn’t they see the Add a Company form directly?

If they go to the login page, they have to again click and show a register pop up window.

On that window nothing about their Listing is asked.

If they go and do the register process, they “can” Add a Listing right? But how do I redirect them automatically to the Add Listing form after registration?

Another question: when is the payment asked? Before they Add a Listing or at the end of the Add a Listing form?

My goal would be to send an un-registered user to the Add a Listing page / form directly, so that form acts as a registration form. And, at the end of the process, they should be asked to pay.

After payment, the company is created, their profile is registered, their payment confirmed and emails and invoices are sent.

    Is this possible?

Otherwise, which is the order your plugin offers? I’ma bit confused here.

    Thanks!

    PS: I’m using GDv2.

    Hi Manfred,

Thanks for your post. We’ll have to check your Website backend to find out why “there are no links to login”. Could you share your Website WP admin access here in private reply so that we could check this out for you?

    Hello,

with GD a prospective listing owner will register, add a listing, and then pay. There is a setting that will allow guests to register on the add listing page, but, this feature is recommended for events directories where users will not manage their listings.

If you have a specific question about setup let us know.

Hi Alex, thanks! Yes we would like it so guests register on the Add Listing page. How can we do that?

Additionally (but this is maybe better suited for a new thread), we’d like to have multiple countries but disable the auto-location / top menu switcher. How to do that?

    Many thanks,

See the option: “Allow posting without logging in”

    https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/geodirectory/settings/general/

The Change Location (switcher) can be removed from the menu as needed, just check the menu settings.

    Thanks,

    Doubt #1 is fixed.

But in doubt #2 I find that Locations are “given” to the users in he Category pages, and we want that any Category page is location-free.

Is there a way to disable this kind of “user location track”?

There is an advanced option on the Location tab, “Archive URLs”

    https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/addons/location-manager/

Try that and let us know

Hi Alex, I made so guests can publish (Add Listing). However:

    1) on the Add Listing page nothing related to payment appears. Only the form requesting the different infos about the listing.
    2) when I submit the listing (from another browser in a fresh session), I end up on a typical WordPress login screen (?)
    3) I expected to land into a payment page
    4) emails are sent to admin and guest, saying a new listing is ready for approval
    5) guest gests another email asking to set up a password.
    6) if I do the process and generate a password via link, I have then to click to login again, and after the end of it I land on the Homepage
    7) I expected to land (again?) in a payment page, or at least the company page I just created, or something less confusing…

    Why is that?

I’m probably missing something related to the payment configuration. What can it be?

    – Can’t we have simply a second screen where the user pay after adding the listing details?
    – Or even make so they are able to pay below the listing form?
    – Can’t we ask the user for password on the first screen?

    Thanks for your help.

You mentioned in another topic that you are using a 3rd party plugin for registration and login?

Use that plugin to register users and log them in prior to reaching the add listing page.

The “Allow posting for logged out users” option is best for sites that want to allow the community to post things, without necessarily following up to edit or manage listings.

Yes but, where is the payment area?
This is more concerning to me as we want people to pay but no payment info is being required, even if we have configured the packages…

After the user submits a listing they are forwarded to checkout.

I added a listing and was forwarded to checkout.

You are missing “GD Notifications” on your add-listing page.
