Add listing navigation

    Hi there,

    I want to be able to offer the ‘add listing’ feature in;

    1. “MY ACCOUNT” dropdown
    2. On registered author page i.e. http://www.mywebsite.com/author/acdefgh/
    3. Can it be added as a widget or shortcode?
    4. At the momment I suggest someone signs up to advertise and this takes them back to the home page whereas I would prefer they were navigated to an add listing page – how is this possible

    Do you need screenshots?

    Have a look at https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/core-design/#navigation
    That explains how to add the correct links to your main menu, and by default, anyone signing up after clicking that link will be redirected to the Add Listing page instead of the home page.

    Thanks for that.

    I do not want to add them as navigation headers. Is it possible to have to choose where they appear in the navigation. For example under one header ‘get added’ with ‘add listing’ etc underneath. Also I do no want the change location to appear.

    Make sense?

    Hi,

    1 not possible to add links in that dropdown

    2 just add the login box widget in the author sidebar

    3 yes with the login box, otherwise you can add it as html

    4 just add a link to the add listing page (but manually) and if they are not logged in they will be directed to the login page, after login they’ll be directed back to the add listing page.

    Add listing page link for the default custom post type is yoursite.com/add-listing/listing_type=gd_place

    just change the gd_place at the end to switch to other CPTs.

    Perfect. Thanks. I didn’t realise I could add them as custom menu links. Thanks for the support.
