Add Listing not working?

    Hi, i registered as a new user and then under:
    My Dashboard
    Logout

    I selected “Add Listing” but just got a drop down search box?

    Of course this is not correct so how do you add a listing? If i select “Add Place” it takes me to a page that allows me to add a listing, Business Owner/Associate ec

    The heading is “Add Place” then it says “Enter Listing Details”, if this is correct then what is “Add Listing” for?

    Hi,

    yes the GD > Loginbox seems to be buggy in the demo too.

    In the dropdown the you the add place link should appear along with a link for each other custom post type installed.

    Thanks for spotting this, I’ll have the developers follow up.

    Hi the problem isn’t in the widget, but in the sidebar CSS. If you move the widget to the top of the sidebar it works perfectly.

    I’ll ask Stiofan to look into the css problem and fix it in the GDF framework…

    Hi,

    I have 3 custom post types but when I use the Login Box only the first 2 appear. I’ve checked my settings and each custom post type is set up the same, so can’t think of a reason why it isn’t appearing in the widget. It’s the default Events that isn’t showing. I’ve just tried adding a new CPT and that shows straight away, but the default Events still doesn’t appear.

    Hi,

    in GeoDirectory > Design > Navigation, Event should be selected for:

    Allow post type to add from frontend

    and

    Show add listing link in add listing navigation

    Is this your case?

    Hi Paolo – I am having problem being able to enable Add Place. Please see the screen capture. When I click on the Add Place the URL changes to http://mywebsite.com/?listing_type=gd_place, but nothing happens.

    should be

    http://mywebsite.com/add-listing/?listing_type=gd_place

    Did you do anything with virtual page? There should be 5 and should remain untouched.

    Thank you. 🙂 I originally installed 2012 Theme when GD was first released. Wanting a mobile site I unsuccessfully tried plugins and Themes. In the process I broke the core. Solution you directed me has helped.

    Has any GDF user successfully designed a public mobile site? What plugin, widgets, themes made it possible for them?
