Add Listing Phone Number Issue on Mobile Device

    I just got contacted by a customer who was trying to add a listing via a mobile device and they couldn’t get past the phone number as their keyboard didn’t give them access to “-” or “()”.

    any suggestions on how this can be corrected?

    Hello,

    phone pattern validation is optional, have you considered disabling it?

    You could also make the field optional.

    Every phone has different options. I make a note for the the developers to look into how this field could be improved. It could be that in a future version the input of the brackets and dashes could be part of more complex formatting on the input side, so that the user is only required to enter digits. For now this would require a customization, though, so I have recommended a couple options you could try.

    Alex,

    So you agree this is an issue with Mobile?

    I am not sure how this got setup… assuming that it is the default setting right?

    How would I disable it?

    You can remove the validation pattern from the field options, and the validation error message to set it back to default.

    It would seem to be an issue for that user, yes. It would seem they have some kind of autofill open also which may be part of the issue as well.
