    Greetings:

I have 3 add-ons among the 10 or so that I’m not able to upgrade: review rating manager, social importer and advanced search. Last round of upgrades a month ago or so, I simply deleted them to reinstalled the new versions and it worked. That was fine since I did not begin to configure them, but I now have the same issue with the latest round of upgrades. The other add-ons are upgrading normally, but claim listing in addition this time won’t upgrade. So I did deactive the old version, installed the newest but: lost all translations in the process.

Something must be wrong for these three add-ons (and now 4) to persistently refuse to upgrade.

Any suggestions or solutions as to what can cause this?

    Hi there,

Could you try deactivating and activating the license key and see if it fixes the issue there? Also, are you getting any error messages while you’re updating the plugin? Tell us a little bit more about it.

    Thanks!

    Hi,

Thanks for your prompt response. I tried deactivating and reactivating the license and it doesn’t seem to have any effect.

    Indeed, here’s the error message:
    – impossible to copy the file geodir_social_importer/geodir-social-importer-languages/geodir_socialimporter-en_US.mo
    – impossible to copy the file geodir_review_rating_manager/geodir-reviewrating-languages/geodir_reviewratings-en_US.po

So I guess it’s language related, and could possible be linked to the fact that I run the site in another language but that is true for all Geodir plugins and only a few come up with this issue.

Thanks again for looking at this,

    Guy

    Hi Guy,

This could be a few things, i would guess it’s file permission but if you provide wp-admin and FTP details in a private reply (only staff can see) then i will check things over.

    Thanks,

    Stiofan

If its a locally install just overwrite the files manually or you can try this plugin to let you update via zip file: https://wordpress.org/plugins/easy-theme-and-plugin-upgrades/

    Thanks,

    Stiofan
