With the latest update, when I searched for lion in the listings section of the backend, Lions Cross Technologies is found. In the front end search box, if I type lion, nothing is found. I have to type Lions to find it.

Also, I can’t upload a photo in the front end or backend to Lions Cross Technologies.

Both of these issues are only on my testing site with the latest updates. My live site with 1.4.5 doesn’t have these issues.

Hello, the search has been redesigned and so you should look for the exact word, see here thread https://wpgeodirectory.com/support/topic/advanced-search-filters-letters-out-of-words-not-whole-words/

For the issue with the image uploader (And possibly the pinpoint issue too), it is an host thing, you have this error

XMLHttpRequest cannot load /wp-admin/admin-ajax.php. Origin is not allowed by Access-Control-Allow-Origin.

here for more info and solution

Thanks Simone. Regarding images, not sure how it could be a hosting issue when it works on live site fine (same host). Possibly having issues since this is a staging version, but haven’t had any issues in the past with it. I will make another testing copy and test it without the update and see what happens.

Regarding the search, I think it should be an option like someone else had said, to allow us to choose. I don’t particularly like that users would not locate listings because they didn’t add an “s”, etc. Like in the topic, if someone is searching for ice, and gets device, then they should be able to go to desserts category and search, where only ice cream would be found. On the main search, any title with the word “ice” should return all possible listings. Definitely don’t agree with the change.

    Simone,
I made another backup of the live site, without the updates. It does have the same issue, so maybe it’s because it’s a staging copy since the live version doesn’t have the same issue. I will try and work it out with my hosting if I have the same issues on my live site once I update it.

    Try to add

    Access-Control-Allow-Origin: *

    in your .htaccess

Thanks Stiofan. May just wait to update once the next version is out.
