my client wants to ad some instructional text to the page that we’re using for the geodirectory home page. http://67.199.114.212/certified-dentists/.

What can we do to make that happen. Ideally it would be above the geodirectory content.

That seems to be a normal WP page so you can just add it above the widget or shortcode you are using.

It looks like a normal page, but it is actually the home page that Geodirectory created. When I try to put anything else on the page, it doesn’t affect the page at all.

    Hi Stephen,

Do you think you can share temp admin access to your site so we can take a better look? You can post the details here using the private reply option below.

    Thanks!

There are some filters that allow things to be added to the gd-home page. I’ll alert Paolo to your question.

    Hi,

I’m not sure I understand the problem. I see you were able to add this content via a text widget above the GD widgets:

    CERTIFIED DENTISTS

Because not every dentist is familiar with the specifics of no-prep dentistry, you as a consumer are looking for ways to know who is trained in these advanced techniques. Dentists listed here as certified have been through an intense training course taught by the co-developers. Search here to find a Micro-thin dentist in your area.

    Were you able to solve?

    Thanks

I was able to figure it out a few minutes ago. Thanks for the help. I do have a couple other questions, but not sure what to search for in the forum. I have tried the things i can think of but don’t get any results. If you have insights to either, let me know where to look. Or if there isn’t anything out there yet, I’ll create new posts so as not to mess up the results for this thread.

    1. I only have 1 catagory for this client (certified dentists), world-wide. So I don’t really need anything in the search box other than zip code. Is there a way to eliminate that and make certified dentist the default catagory?

    2. need to import data from mysql database. where can I find a template for the import function?

    1. The first field is not just to search for categories, see
    https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/core-design/#how

    2. https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/core-export/
