I have added the below code in a text widget. Along with the css in Design – Scripps. It work well at first but when i switch from text view to visual (Text Widget) it appears to break the code.
*The href link disappears and even if its there it does not go the intended social media page
*The Icons gets line up vertical instead of horizontal as if there is a break tag
Can you please take a look to see whats blocking this code.

Hi Norman,

Just fixed it for you by removing the white spaces between the fontawesome tags. Could you please check now?

Thank you for that. It does seem that some of the code constantly been stripped out including the href section. Do you know why this may be happening

Moving from text to visual will strip HTML, it’s a known bug of WordPress and for that they’ll soon add a HTML widget.

There are already plugins replacing the old text widget.

Newest version of wordpress was released the same day to replied to this. The new html widget appear to fix the issue so far. The text widget gives more flexibility though in that it has its own text editor
