I’m using a GD > Post Rating widget to output Rating stars in Details Page Sidebar. In this regard, I’m looking for two things:

    (a) Since Adding Reviews & Rating is quite obscure under a Tab, users try to click these rating stars in the sidebar to rate a business. Unfortunately, clicking it in sidebar doesn’t work. Is it possible to make it work right there; or clicking there could open the Reviews & Ratings’ editor under the Tab? How to make more intuitive for users to put their ratings & reviews?

    (b) Is it possible to show how many users in total have rated a listing in brackets below the Post Rating widget output?

Tabs have a link, so, you can add a text link or button in a widget if you want to add a link to a tab. Here’s what the link looks like for the default reviews tab See the #reviews at the end? So, you just make a link to #reviews and it should work.

GD Post Ratings will display the count of reviews by default, but it is possible that the information is hidden in grid view or by shortcode with the option for stars-only. There isn’t a separate widget to display only the count. Try editing the shortcode to default to display the count as shown here if you select list view from the display:

    (a) So do you mean, one can’t just click on the stars and rate a business?
Yes, tabs do have a link but I was asking if star image itself can be linked to the reviews tab? I mean, if I don’t like to create any link text or another button just to link to the reviews tab …won’t it be possible to directly interact with star images?

    (b) Yes, editing the shortcode helped.

Update on (a): Now the Stars are followed by a text stating no. of “# Reviews” or “No Reviews” text as the case may be. And this text is by default linked to Reviews tab link. So it solves the problem to a large extent. But it would be better if star image too can be linked to reviews tab.

    Thanks!
