Adding Upcoming Events Slider to Front Page

Good Evening,

I am trying to add maybe one row of “upcoming events” that can slide through and perhaps I can customize it so that only events which I tick off as featured are shown. With the old GD I had this at one time. I have searched all of the support docs and am having troubles finding anything. Is this something I can still do?

I may want to do the same for featured businesses.
