    Hi

My google maps API seems to work fine, however, when I add a new listing and enter the place’s address, the auto-complete is not working and the address is not shown on the map. See also attached screenshot (it’s in Hebrew, sorry…).

    Any ideas?

    Many thanks
    Tzahi

    Hello!

You will need the Location Manager Addon for that feature

In the link you sent it is mentioned that “The Core Plugin that we offer for free on WordPress.org, allows to submit listings only within 1 location “. And that the add-on is required if the directory covers more than one city. That’s not my case. I only use one city but auto-complete still doesn’t work.

    Thanks!

    Hello,

Address autocomplete is a feature of the Location Manager plugin. The options are not available in the free plugin.

So if I understand correctly, in the free version the map view is pretty much useless (as I cannot use it to determine the business addresses)?
Why are you stating in the add-on description you sent me that the core plugin supports one location? I understand that it doesn’t support even one location as you mentioned.

    Thanks

Maybe we are talking about different things and it is a miscommunication.

We would be happy to take a look at your site settings to see the setup.

Share your site URL and the WP Admin credentials in a private reply and we can take a look.

The google address lookup will place the pin on the map at the correct location, based on the addres you provide.

The core plugin allows a ‘default location’ which is one ‘area’. All listings must be placed in that area. Usually that is a city, so, all listings must have lat/lon coordinates that place them ‘within’ that city based on Google’s data.

    Hi Alex

Thank you very much for your help and assistance.
I’m not sure I understood you. What do you mean by “recreate the issue”? I didn’t touch the website in the last two days…

    Thanks

You mean that the auto-complete is working for you?
    For me it’s still doesn’t…

    Thanks

No, Autocomplete is a feature of the Location Manager Addon.

What is working is the ‘Set Pin” button.
