Address changing when map marker is moved.

    On page GD>MultiLocations>Location Settings tab>ADD LISTING FORM SETTINGS>Disable move map pin from changing address fields> it says “(highly recommended not to enable this)”. Can you tell me why it’s not recommended?

    I have many places that have one address and need to move the map marker pin around to the correct location. If the above box is unchecked, and the map marker is moved, then the address changes from the address to just the city name. When the box is checked, and the map marker is moved, the address does not change after it is set and the marker is moved… which is what I am looking for.

    So I am curious to know…
    Why it is not recommended to check it?
    What would be considered a small directory?
    Is there maybe another option I am not seeing that would allow the box to be unchecked and the address to not change when the map marker is moved?

    Hi,

    Only because you risk to have listings added with an address that is discrepant with the actual position on the map. If you know what you are doing, of course you can enable that option, but if you allow users to add listings from the front end, expect errors.
