There are a number of nonprofits that don’t have a physical location but use a PO to receive mail, so there are probably a bunch of pins showing the post office. Can the required field be changed to an optional field and just allow some partners to not have a map at all?

    Hi Michael Given,

Thanks for your post. If you wish to allow listings without a “physical location”. I’d suggest that you create a new CPT and enable this “Disable physical location?” as explained here https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/places/general/#settings . Could you give it a try and see if it’s what you’re looking for?

But in this case categories will be different for both listings? We want to show all listing in same category with address and without address

It is not possible to make the address fields optional for some listings in the same CPT.

It may be possible to hide the address on the frontend. For example if the ones with address have a different price package you can use CSS to do that because the price package is included as a body class.

If you are using an advanced builder it may have more options, too.

I have the same requirement, wanting to list web-only businesses alongside those with a physical location.
    1. Is it possible by linking a geo CPT and non-geo CPT to a parent CPT?
    2. Or is it possible to hide map and address on the front-end input form using a custom field ‘no location’ and some css? I guess this may require sending a default dummy address to the database from the front-end form (hidden from the user)?
    Thanks – I’m a newbie, joined yesterday. 🙂
