    Hi –

I’ve got recent updates installed and now I’m getting a bunch of http requests and slow admin performace again upon Network Admin > Plugins page load

(and yes I did NOT copy the gd_update.php file you uploaded before autoupdating… oops)

It looks like you might have some other sort of caching active? GDB can’t be used with other caching plugins.

it appears to be a cloudflare issue

I disabled and purged cloudflare and the http requests are not being made upon Plugin page refresh

not sure what cloudflare settings/features are going to be compatible

I’m wondering if there is a workaround for this – namely – a php function / cron to Not check for updates every hour. that is utter overkill, and while it might seem like it wouldn’t be a resource problem, it actually is. I’ve got a lot of sites. and every time I go to set things up I’m currently needing to go to cloudflare and disable and purge or suffer 20 second page loads in admin.

so… how about Once a Week.. ? once a day even more than needed, but reasonable.

    thanks

    Hi,

it’s wordpress responsible for this, not our plugins (or any plugin).

Why don’t you disable updates completely https://wordpress.org/plugins/disable-wordpress-updates/ and turn them back on when you know updates have been released?

    Thanks

    Stiofan,

this is still causing heartburn, is there any chance to get a copy of gd_update.php that had been installed in order to curtail update requests?

its adding almost 20 seconds to admin dashboard page loading with http requests for geodir

    thanks

That fiel should be included in all the latest releases, its the first GD plugin in the plugins list that loads the file, just make sure thats up to date.
