Advanced Search Custom Rules

Hi,

I’m hoping you can help. I have a directory using V2 and I have 450 different types of categories and 100,000 places.

I would like the search functionality to match up the text typed in the search bar to the category names first. Let me give you an example to why I would like this and what i want to solve.

E.g, User types in the word “plumber” in the search bar and receives results with the word plumber in the title or description. I would like the results to favour the category name over the title name because it is not fair on businesses who have a unique business name.

basically I would like the search functionality to think like this:
1. check searched equry with categories names
2. check with tags
3. check with the title name.
4. check descriptions
5. display results.
