Advanced Search Multiselect Dropdown

    Hello,

    We have the advanced search addon, and i’m trying to add multi select options to the search bar, but it creates a cog-wheel which displays the options. What we would like to have is the multi select dropdown to look like the categories dropdown and not the cog-wheel…

    Please help, we are new to Geo Directory 🙂

    On second thought that wont work since the search opens up a new page. (We prefer filtering) Thus, how would we go about creating multiple filters in the category bit at the bottom right of the map…

    Eg.
    Countries
    – south africa
    – nigeria
    – ect

    Year
    – 2017
    – 2016
    – ect

    Event Type
    – Riots
    – Violence
    ect

    Hi there,

    Could you a look at the GD Search widget settings and change the “Open customize my search from:” setting as shown in this screenshot http://prntscr.com/ecg6fl . This would force the advanced search to open by default without clicking on the COG wheel.

    1. You can only add select fields to the search bar itself; see point 6 at https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/gd-search/

    2. The map legend on GD Home/location pages is only for categories.
