Advice needed on how to sort listing order

Hi there,

I’m wanting to make my site so that when somebody posts a new listing place, it never expires but each time somebody else makes a new listing the ones made before it are moved further down the list each time a new is made. I’m not sure if this is what already happens anyway but I never want the listing to expire so that it’s no longer visible on the site because I need the review system for the place to remain and I still want the listing to be there for people to see and read about. I want people to pay to bump up their listing to the top of the list of places. How should I set up the pricing options etc? If it expires what happens to the listing, does it just vanish off the site and all reviews and details are lost?
