I should say I’m not 100% certain this is a GeoDirectory issue but, having deactivated all other plugins, I thought I’d start here.

If you visit the dev site I’m working on at https://alpha.bytheseasideguide.com/ and try changing the CPT selector to, say, “Restaurants & food” the ‘cog’ sits there spinning and never shows results. However, if you’re logged in as admin, it works fine. Console is reporting a 403 error with /wp-admin/admin-ajax.php.

    Any ideas please?

    Hi Nigel Hancock,

Thanks for your post. A “403 error with /wp-admin/admin-ajax.php.” error is usually related to ModSecurity from your server. Could you contact them and ask them to disable it and see if it helps? If not, share your Website WP admin access here in private reply and we’ll check this out for you asap!

It seems to be failing the nonce authentication, i removed the line and it seems to work, this would lead me to believe it is a caching issue.

You’re right Stiofan, it is working now. What did you change exactly? I need to do the same on two other GD sites. Many thanks, by the way.

I removed the nonce check from the file, i belive this is a caching issue, we are looking at ways to prevent this if a user is caching longer then the nonce life span.

Which file did you remove it from Stiofan, is this something I can do on the other two sites suffering the same issue?

    Hi Nigel,

Temporary fix is applied in file \wp-content\plugins\geodirectory\includes\class-geodir-ajax.php

We are working to fix this permanently.

Just updated to core 2.0.0.75 (and all add-ons) and this issue has not been fixed.
