    Hello

I am looking for a way to allow the public to upload pictures to a listing – I don’t mean editing the actual listing, as I want the owner of the listing to only have those rights, but just to allow the public to upload images, ideally under a tab on the listing detail page.

    Is it possible within Geodirectory?

If not, can your recommend a plugin that would allow this to happen?

    Thank you

There is a custom feature for the Whoop theme that allows this, but it is a feature that is part of that theme, as opposed to the GD plugin.

Thanks for your reply – I’ve had a look at the Whoop theme – are there any alternatives to this? Partly because I’m quite invested in the Supreme Theme by now as I’ve been working on it for a bit over a year, and partly because I am opting for a very visually appealing website, which Supreme them is, but Whoop isn’t really.

Might you know of any plugins I could use that would allow me to remain using Supreme Theme?

    Thank you

    Hello,

I will flag your question for the developers, in case they have any ideas.

There is no way to do this at the moment but it will be much easier to implement in GDv2.
There is already a way for users to upload images with reviews in u have the multiratings addon, this could make it pretty easy to add these to the usual galleries in future.

Yes – Reviews, that might be it. Can I switch off the ability to comment on reviews, while keeping images on? I do want people rating it (and adding images) but I don’t want people commenting with words on their rating.

    Thank you!

Also – regarding version2 – will it be easy for people to change their website from Geodirectory 1 to 2, or will that be difficult?

    Hello,

It is not GD that requires text in the rating comment section, but WP. WP requires text in that box, but there may be are various 3rd party ways to circumvent the requirement.

We endeavor to make the upgrade process as smooth as possible, but it will certainly require some adjustments to widgets.

Thank you, I’ll keep looking into this. My review section doesn’t seem to be working at the moment so I’ll have to get that fixed first and then have a look for a third party app.
