Hello,
How can I display the individual parameters of listings (title, thumbnail, photo etc)?
If wp_query does not work, then what?
Need more flexible functionality than [gd_listings].Thanks in advance!
January 22, 2018 at 2:45 pm #413839Hello,
GDV2 will provide some additional flexibility:

For now you can do a customization of the templates. Here’s a forum post where that is discussed:

https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/customizing-geodirectory-templates/January 22, 2018 at 8:45 pm #413883I am sorry maybe I asked not correctly.
I have completely my own theme (pic1).
When using shortcode I do not see pictures from the date (pic2).<?php echo do_shortcode(‘[gd_listings post_number=”4″ post_type=”gd_place” layout=”4″ category=”45″ list_sort=”high_rating” add_location_filter=”1″ show_favorites_only=”0″]’); ?>
Also, the code itself is difficult for me to stylize.
It would be enough for me to deduce 4 cards with places in this site of my site. Each card will consist of:
– Main photo
– header
– categories
– short description
– rating (pic3)Please help me, how can I do this?
Thank you.
January 23, 2018 at 9:58 am #413938Hello,
The way the listings look, ie which fields are included, is managed with a setting.
For Places, you can visit GD > Place Settings > Custom Fields > Show in what places
Choose the fields to display in “Listing” ; the ones you choose will show up in the listings called by the widgets on any page.
You can override with CSS to hide fields on certain pages.

I use this (1) but there are nothing to change.
And what with the thumbnail pics? Where they are (2)? (i wrote about it earlier)
Pls help me more concretely,
Thank You!January 23, 2018 at 1:44 pm #413989Hello,
Is your site live, yet? If so, please share a link and and we can take a look.
Otherwise, here are some things to check:
Can you see the featured image in the media libray?
Visit custom fields like shown in your screenshot, and take a look at the links I send.January 23, 2018 at 2:50 pm #414001This reply has been marked as private.January 23, 2018 at 3:15 pm #414007This reply has been marked as private.January 23, 2018 at 3:50 pm #414017Hello
When your site is online then we can take a look; looking at the theme alone wouldn’t be enough.
Review https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/widgets/#popular-post
Post Content excerpt character count: Set this to the number of characters you want to show as part of the listing.
Note: By default, excerpts will only be shown for List View and Two Column Grid View. But excerpts can be shown for all Grid Views by adding this to your CSS:.geodir_category_list_view li.geodir-gridview .geodir-content .geodir-entry-content {display: inline;}

Please take a look at the following pages.
Basic Setup:
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/basic-installation/
Media setup for images:
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/basic-installation/#media
Like Buttons – these should have a link that points to the service to share the page on the service. These appear to be working as designed.
Ratings – please review the setup documentation.
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/multiratings-and-reviews-add-on-overview/
Comments not displayed – Be sure to have enabled comments on your site for each listing. Include a link to a listing as an example. There is a setting for each listing, and a setting for the whole site.

Change stars in overall rating – see the section on Manage Rating Styles in this page:
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/multiratings-and-reviews-add-on-overview/
Map Not loading – please see the troubleshooting guide’s map section:
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/troubleshooting-guide/#maps
Stars.png not loading – the image is missing. please replace it at:
/wp-content/plugins/geodir_review_rating_manager/icons/stars.png
Search – GD uses widgets and shortcodes to load a search UI that is unique to GD. I am uncertain of what form you are using for your search.
Please add a GD Search widget to your GD HOme page to see how search works.
