Any possibility of sending out Push Notifications for location based results

    Hi,
    I am not sure if this is possible. Can we use OneSignal or WPPush plugins or some other custom plugin, to let users of a particular location get notifications if any other users lists posts for that location. I have noticed that desktop and browser based push notifications are gaining a lot more traction. It would be really a good way for listing owners to quickly reach out to people within their area to get a quick shout-out boost when they initially post.

    If this can be implemented please let me know how. OneSignal in particular looks promising as they have their entire API documentation available and it seems to be able to be customized.

    Hello!

    We don’t have an integration with those plugins yet, but, if the goal is to send notification, then perhaps another plugin for messaging would be a better choice. One approach might be to give the owners of a paid listing access to purchase a push message using the messaging plugin to create a message, for example.

    Thanks Alex.
    It might be worth considering as a future feature to add on. I have been reading to a lot of websites implementing this and I myself “subscribe” to such push notifications more than emails these days, just to avoid email clutter.
