Anyone have experience with Google Maps API?

I’d like to import thousands of businesses into my directory. I’m researching Google Maps API (https://cloud.google.com/maps-platform/pricing/?_ga=2.93695325.1580288008.1571387905-105551971.1570788024) which seems like it can be a solution.

However, I’m not sure how I would import those businesses to wpgeodirectory/connect wpgeodirectory to an API to pull those listings

Is this possible?

We do not provide a tool for that because it is directly against the TOS of Google for API usage, and, though such tools exist it is against our policy to recommend them directly.

Thanks. I thought that was the point of Amazon providing an API to their maps so users can get access to this information. Otherwise, not sure what the point of it is then.
