Assign CPT's to User Levels

    Hello,

    In the Add Listing interface, is there a way to make available or limit, certain types of users to certain CPT options? For example:

    An Administrator would have the following drop down options to add a listing:

    Places
    Rentals
    For Sale
    Deals & Discounts
    Services

    but, a Subscriber would have the following drop down options to add a listing:

    For Sale
    Rentals

    See attached snapshot for drop down area I’m referring too.

    If this is possible, what’s the best way to do it?

    You can restrict CPTs to admins at GD > Design > Navigation > Allow post type to add from frontend
    Remove the CPTs that users cannot add from the frontend, and admins will still be able to add them from the admin area.

    Hi @guust

    Circling back to this.

    I tried your suggestion, but it didn’t work for me.

    Take a look at the snapshots. You’ll see I disabled the “Deals & Discounts” CPT for front end submission.

    However, the front end Add Listing Page drop down, clearly shows “Deals & Discounts” as an option in the drop down menu, (see second snapshot attached).

    Am I missing something?

    Because you are logged in as an administrator I guess.

    Nope, that profile is not an administrator. Any other ideas?

    1. You should not use SuperCacher: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/faqs/what-caching-plugin-can-i-use/

    2. You had not removed anything as I suggested.

    3. Correction to my earlier comments: admins will only be able to add listings to the other CPTs form the backend.
