Author pages just show either events or places

We have moved to a support ticketing system and our forums are now closed.

    Hi

    In geotheme the author’s page has two tabs: one for events and another for places. However on geodirectory the author’s page just shows either places or events. would that be a useful feature to look at?

    The problem with that would be if you have 12 CPTs and events. That would be a lot of tabs?

    There is a drop down menu in the dashboard widget, is there not?
    Or do you mean if other visitors want to see the listings of another user?

    Yes, that is what I mean if a user wants to check somebody’s elses listings (places,events, CPTs)

    Kiran and I will be working on a new addon for better member profiles, members directory and profile builder starting this week.

    Shouldn’t take super long to see major improvements on this side of GD.

    There will be an addon for both.

    1 extended users addon for those not wanting the extra buddypress features
    2 the official buddyrpess integration

    Both are on my todo list for January

    To all membees interested, Buddypress addon is 75% done.

    We are missing few details. The reviews part in the member profile is still incomplete, so please keep that in mind.

    In the listings part, when one will visit his own profile it will have edit and delete buttons for all listings he submitted. This is also missing now.

    Tracking of both comments and new listing submission should already be working fine.

    Registration on that website is enabled so feel free to create a user, give it a try and report anything wrong you encounter.

    Very excited to see how this progresses. Very impressed with the GD team, the support offered, and the clean usable code that can be manipulated how you will. Am sure the buddypress featureset will be rock solid – I searched this when I noticed that I was not redirecting to the proper buddypress login / register page.

    Quick question. So when a user is viewing a listing, if they click on the author link on the sidebar, it will be redirected to that buddypress page as well?

    Buddypress should take over the author page, so it should be like that already, if it isn’t we can definitely make that happen.

    Hi Paolo

    I do not think it is.

    If I click on my profile on the wp_bar on the upper right hand corner, then yes the buddypress profile takes over.

    But If I click on the author link (sidebar of any detail page) the the Geodirectory profile comes up.
