Author pages just show either events or places

I have just tried the buddypress plugin and it looks pretty good so far but when clicking on the author like on the listing sidebar it does still redirect me to the same author page where I can just see either events or places but I was expecting to see the buddypress profile page.

Any thoughts??

Find a screenshot with the author link. It is the one on the sidebar which links to the author page.

My original issue was that in Geodirectory if a customer is browsing places and clicks on the author link, then it is redirected to an author page where just places are shown (no “events” or any other “custom post type” listings) . Exactly the same if customer is watching an event an clicks on the author page he will be redirect it to a page where he/she can just events by that author ( no “places” or any other custom types”).

If you remember in Geotheme the author page had two tabs one for places and
events. So customer could switch easily between events and places by that author. That is why I raised this issue originally and I think it should be improved regardles people is using the buddypress plugin or not.

However the buddypress plugin would do the trick for me if the author link ( the one on the screenshot) redirects me to the buddypress profile page because any customer will be able to switch between “events” and “places” and “custom type posts” for any author.All in one page.
