    Dear Members,

    today we released the Beta version of the new Buddypress integration addon.

    Can be seen in action here: http://dropct.com/enfold

    As the name suggests, to use this addon you need to have buddypress installed and a buddyrpess compatible theme.

    This addon offers the following options:

    1. Track new listings submitted for any CPT in bp activity
    2. Track new review submitted in bp activity
    3. Create tabs in bp profile to track a user’s Listings, Reviews and Favorites
    4. Remove the register form in GD signup page and add a link to bp registration page
    5. Redirect all author pages (my listings/my favourites) to bp member pages.

    This addon should allow to create a complete Yelp like social network with the addition of Groups, Forums an activity wall, private messaging, friends system and all the goodies provided by Buddyrpess.

    Even though it has been tested and seems to be very stable, bear in mind this is a beta released and should be tested on staging site only.

    Avoid testing in a live website or do it at your own risk.

    The addon can be downloaded from the Download section of your profile as usual.

    Please create new topics to report bugs or suggestions so we can ask for links and credentials in private.

    Congratulation.
    It’s very interesting… and I ‘m very interested in it.
    This week I have a lot work to do, but the next week a looking for.
    Is there installed the event addon to in http://dropct.com/enfold?
    If all run good, aproximally when users can have definitive version?
    1 month? 4 month?

    A new version of BP was just released with support for different member types and custom post types – don’t know how this affects the integration?

    Good stuff!
    One thing I have noticed is that if we show the place author when the listing is verified, the link still points to the usual author page and not the BP page – should that be the case?

    Hello

    I have been using Buddypress on my site for some time. However this has been disconnected with the geodirectory.

    I have followed the link to the website to see this in action, but not clear what I am looking for.

    Can you please explain what I am looking for and how this is meant to work.

    Hi Paolo

    Have you thought of creating a buddypress widget which would allow us to see the listing count (event ,places and custom post types) on the sidebar of any listing for that author.

    For example that would allow us to place the widget on the detail sidebar so all the info about that author is one click away rather than 3 or 4 click away. Do not know if it is difficult to do but it would be helpful.

    Yes but a customer can’t do that.so if they are browsing they need far too many clicks to see all the info from one author.

    With 1 click they can have an overview of how many listings and reviews he’s got. With max another 2 clicks they can see any information.

    Adding direct link in the sidebar doesn’t sound like a good idea to me, especially if there are many CPT.

    If you think it’s important, please request it in the request system and if many other members will vote it we will consider it.
