    Hi there,

    I’m trying to auto-update my GD plugins, but every time I try to update, I get the following error: “An error occurred while updating GeoDirectory Custom Post Types: Update package not available.” or I get an “Unauthorised Access” error.

    I have recently moved my website to a new hosting provider, Cloudways. Is there perhaps a clash happening there?

    I had an old 3 month license on my old server, and I now have a new 6 month license on the new server.

    Please let me know as I’d like to get this resolved.

    Ps: I also tried deactiving and re-activating all the plugins, but I was getting the same error.

    Hi,

    when you change the length of your membership, you also change all license keys.

    Make sure that the license keys that you have here: https://wpgeodirectory.com/support/members/alexi84/downloads/ are the one that are activated in GeoDirectory >> Auto Updates / Licensing.

    If they are not, deactivate the old keys, add the new ones and activate them again.

    At that point your auto updates should work.

    I’m still not coming right with this.

    There is only one license field to activate one key. There is no option to enter details for any other keys.

    Hi Alexi,

    that means that you are using very very old versions of the add-ons.

    Please provide a link and admin credentials in a private reply and we will have a look.

    Hi Alexi,

    all your add-ons are at least 7 months old. That’s an eternity. We changed the licensing and auto update system since end of January. (you should never update the core plugin if you don’t update the add-ons too.)

    Please download all the add-ons that you have installed from here: https://wpgeodirectory.com/support/members/alexi84/downloads/

    Unzip them on your desktop and overwrite the old versions via FTP.

    Alternatively you can upgrade them using a plugin like this: https://wordpress.org/plugins/easy-theme-and-plugin-upgrades/

    ONce that is done you will see the new Auto Updates / Licensing page and you can copy and activate the new licenses.

    Thank you – my mistake. I must’ve overwritten the files when doing my transfer from old server to new server – I promise I was using more up to date files! 🙂
