    Dear GD support team,

Is it possible to automatically configure the end date of an event as its expire date?

I know this was already asked in previous support requests (see for example https://wpgeodirectory.com/support/topic/forced-to-manually-enter-expatriation-date-for-each-event/) and the answer was that “users want events to remain public after they are past”. I understand that many users will prefer to keep their past events active, but there are also users who would like to expire their past events, because keeping them active provides some potential issues, the main one being that some “smart” users will prefer to update a past event instead of paying to publish a new one (by expiring past events, this could be avoided).
Would it be possible to have a temporary workaround at a first time, and for the future to have an option in the settings for the events CPT (in the style of the option “Disable physical location”), where we could choose if we want the events to expire automatically or not?

    Thank you and kind regards,
    Aron

Matching the expire date to the event date is unfortunately not currently available.

I have taken this up as a suggestion and will share it with our development team to see whether we can work on this in the near future.

Please feel free to make a new topic if you need help with anything else.
