I have just updated GD which I am using in combination with Avada theme.

I changed the header.php file but am having issues with the sidebar. I cannot get it to sit to the right of the content no matter what % I make the content vs sidebar.
I tried 50% content with 30% sidebar, but the sidebar is still appearing below the content? – http://ido.devmemeworx.co.za/directory/

Also the rating stars are out of place in the list view items in the sidebars – http://ido.devmemeworx.co.za/directory/wedding-suppliers/

The sidebar elements have lost the styling of white background with grey dots – http://ido.devmemeworx.co.za/venues/south-africa/kwazulu-natal-1/umhlanga/beach-venue/the-oyster-box/

I have read a few of the forum topics and there is talk of creating a NEW child theme. Is this really necessary?

Also in GD > THEME COMPATIBILITY am I supposed to be importing the Compatibility pack for Avada?

    Hi,

for some reason that I can’t really explain without digging deeper into your css, I can see that the content section width is irrelevant even if you put 150% it will not change, while the sidebar can’t be wider than 29%.

The list view forthe popular places widget is meant to be used only in content area. In sidebar we suggest to use the 2 column grid. If you wish to use the list you will have to modify the css.

I’ve added some code in your GD >> Design >> Script >> Custom css.

Let us know if everything looks good now.

    Thx
