Big empty space on top section of search page

    Hello,

    I am using Surpreme Directory Theme for my directory. Since I had activated Google Ads there is on the search page this huge top section which covers a lot of content leaving only a very small area to scrool through the listings. Even after I had deactivated the Google Ad in Advanced Ads the ad was still there.

    As I found this so unnerving, I have now deactivated all Ads on the search page. However, the big space in the top section is not gone, now it is just blank white but still disturbes the user experience. (see screenshot)

    Is there any way for me, e. g. CSS code, to bring this top section back to a normal size?

    Now, this is very weird…and I promise I have not made any changes!
    the big space in the top section has dropped down into the lower section of the search page. But the area where visitors can scroll and see things is just as small (see screenshot).

    Do you have an idea?

    … and the next second the google ad is there again – even though ads are deactivated on this page …

    Hi Kor,
    that is weird, but good to see on the other hand…
    I will check on this. And since no one has complained so far, just leave this task for now. Should there be any more problems, I will get back to you, ok?

    sorry, again I have the same problem with – I guess it is – the search page, e. g.

    First there is this huge google ad in the top section (which actually should not be there as I have deactivated automatic ads on the search page). The ad only leaves a little section below for the GD listings – see 1st screenshot.

    When I close the google ad the small section below moves up but stays just as small so that users can only see max. one listing at a time – see 2nd screenshot.

    This is the same for mozilla firefox as well as google chrome.

    Can you see what I mean?

    hi Birgit,

    Thanks for your reply. I’m able to see the issue on chrome browser. Are you using the auto Google Ads placement from Adsense?

    that was such a good hint! I managed to deactivate the ad in the google ads plattform – problem solved!!!!
