Hi,

The thing you have to do is restore the page and assign it as GD home page and it should work fine. You can create a new page with the same slug as well.

I tried that before but always shows blank – It was assigned as GD home page and just stopped working.

Just looked to check the page to be restored and this shows you guys as author so must be something created at your end with my original page having been removed. Before I change anything can you confirm all will be OK and that another GD person isn’t also working on the issue?

Hi Simon,

I think that page was deleted before and then one of our staff members tried to create and assign it as GD home page and then moved to trace because it doesn’t resolve the issue. I have tried to deactivate plugins to trace the issue and found that the revolution slider plugin is causing issues. I have not deactivated it on a live site yet as it may break any other pages if used there. I would suggest you update revolution slider plugin if there are any updates available or use the fresh install of revolution slider plugin and if the issue still persist then let us know and we will do more troubleshooting to fix this. Also, create a new page with the same link ‘www.leapinghare.org/thetfordsgreatdirectory/’ and assign it as GD homepage from Geodirectory->Permalinks->GD Home page. I suggest you deactivate the plugins which are not required currently as there are around 50 plugins active on site which may cause conflicts with other plugins.

I’ll look at that later and see if it resolves the issue – You asked for a copy of the site so you could look at it away from the live site and I supplied that with all relevant login/ftp.
Will post later to confirm if resolved or not.

Hi,
Can see that Revolution Slider is in some way causing an issue – However deactivating the plugin does not resolve the problem unfortunately. It is up to date and was working fine until a week or so ago. I have now got a page back (https://leapinghare.org/thetfordsgreatdirectory/) but it still doesn’t seem to load completely and no difference here whether RS plugin deactivated or not. Are there any other pointers or help you can give to see if any other issue?

I have cleared the GD Booster cache, and set it for disabled for the moment.

WP Super Cache may be a better fit for your site, https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/known-issues/#cacheplugins

Please check the page and let us know

GD Home, Location, and Add Listing page content should be replaced completely by GD template render. To add content to those pages you should use widgets instead of adding content to the page content/description. Adding content to the page content area may cause a malfunction.

Hi,
Updated the content and moved text to widget area – No difference as page does not load top section and the events calendar does not complete loading. No change if Slider Revolution is deactivated either.

Yes, the GD Home Top Section does not appear to be loading at all, even after resaving the setting at GD – Design – Home – Show top section.

I moved the widgets down into the content section, and switched out WP search for GD search. The H3 for search is in the bottom of the text there.

I have flagged your topic for the developers to take a look at why the top section is not loading, and the search page returns blank.

Hi,
I’ll take a look but when I tried the top section of the page was not loading and the events calendar did not seem to finish and same with plugin activated or not.

Hello Simon,

Event calendar issue fixed.

There is revslider widget that shows blank search page. I tried to move revslider (which has widget logic “! ( get_post_type() == ‘gd_breckland_youth’ )” ) under GD listing page sidebar. After this search page worked fine but listing page goes blank. So there is something conflicting in revslider widget.

Please ask help from Revslider plugin team.

Still an issue with top of this page not loading though?

Also as an example of pages working with RevSlider – I have a page https://leapinghare.org/brecklandyouthdirectory/ which displays fine and slider works and from that page links to various categories (one is https://leapinghare.org/breckland_youth/youth-clubs/) which are GD Lising pages and include a RevSlider widget. All seem fine in sidebar here.

Follow up on slider issue – Seems to be one slider in particular causing an issue as I changed the one called for in the search page widget and it then seems to work.
