(bug?) Keeps defaulting local places, limited entries

    New setup, purchased & loaded MultiLocation plugin
    I’ve added a few entries, for local & national locations.

    I don’t seem able to deselect my local city as default location (my scope is national, not just my local city).
    When I load the home page, it keeps showing my local city, and if I zoom out other entries do not show (even when I select another city as default).
    When I do a search it also only returns local results, although I can get to other entries via the ‘related’ links

    How kan I make my setup more generalised?
