build site using shortcodes instead of gd widgets – possible ?

    am i understanding this?

    i looked at the gd shortcodes page, and i think it seems that i can build my business directory using gd shortcodes within my theme pages instead of using gd widgets within the default gd pages

    for example, add the following to my default homepage to display the main gd listings map (adjust parameters to fit, etc):

    [gd_homepage_map width=100% height=300 scrollwheel=false]

    is this about right?
