BULK Import of Listings

We have moved to a support ticketing system and our forums are now closed.

    In order to bulk import listings, do we HAVE TO use Open Docs or is there a scenario where you can use Excel as long as it’s saved in CSV?

    You can’t use Excel it has auto number formatting that can’t be turned off and that will break phone numbers and GPS info.

    Stiofan probably has the most wise advise for this, but when we started using GD I was using Excel to mass import and didn’t have issues. The only thing was we had to include coordinates as well as addresses, but we used this tool to add all coordinates to the CSV file before uploading

    Now we use Social Importer anyways though because it’s far superior and easier to get info and pics. I often do mass-edits in CSV docs though and have never had issues.
