Hi James, please read our support policy to know what to expect from us.

We guarantee a reply within 24 hours, but we normally do a lot better. No need to nudge please.

What software are you using to open and edit the csv file?

    Did you check the documentation?

    https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/core-export/

    Let us know,

    Thanks

Apologies Paolo for the nudge, I am using OpenOffice. When I download the CSV from the geodirectory settings it just opens in the web browser, I went into the back end to download the CSV but same problem at both sides.

    It opens fine for me.

Do you want us to take a look at the export on the site?

Just write back with WP Admin and login URL in a private reply.

What browser are you using? Normally you should be able to downloaded the file and save it on your PC and after decide with which software to open it.

The username and password provided aren’t working. Please double check them.

    Let us know.

    Thanks

    Hi,

I clicked on the “Download Sample CSV” button with Chrome and it downloaded it as expected. (see image attached).

From there you can open the containing folder and open the file with the software of your choice. If it is opening it directly in a browser, it is because you set your system to open CSV files with a browser. You can change that to OpenOffice.

Let us know how it goes.

    Thanks

No, make sure to have comma as separators and double quotes as text delimiters before opening it. See image attached.

Just add the file name to the CSV file. After import it will tell you where to upload them via FTP.

This video shows how is done: https://youtu.be/_MXfot6buMc?t=91

    Thanks
